Totem project update

After looking at my work my tutor recommended that I look at NCC. I think it was the sinister character I had created for my burglar that had particularly sparked this association with their work. I then had a browse the the 'loss of control' book to find some interesting design work.

'Neasden Control Centre (NCC) was the first book to feature the artist project of the same name. It shows how NCC uses talent, technique and a childlike perspective to create works that mix drawing, graphic design and art. Because these multi-disciplinary works are exactly in tune with the zeitgeist, the book achieved cult status in the design scene and is one of the most sought after out-of-print titles at dgv'

This particular page is what caught my eye. It reminds me of my own work as I often use a lot of collage and photocopies, but also of image transfers on to fabric, which is another technique I have been fond of in the past. I then went on to find some imagery which would be part of my totem and transferred them on to fabric (with a little help of some nail polish remover!), I will work into these with different forms of media.
