Totem Plans

The plans for the totem are set and I am going to create a long cushion. Why a cushion?
After looking at the womb shape I had painted into the fabric, my tutor said it reminded him of some of annette messager's work, and you can see how that may be so in this image, what with all the large body parts bundled in black nets.

I want to produce something that is more versatile than perhaps a poster. This way the viewer can be involved with it, they can pick it up and view the detail in how it was put together; see it for what it really is.

I have completed the image transfer process and will work in to them with applique and some free machine stitching. I have a couple to work on incase anything goes horrendously wrong. The free machine foot is fitted on the Bernina so I'm ready to give it a whirl.
So far the image transfers sit separately due to their lack of saturated colour so I am going to paint in to them slightly and do some stitching around them.
