Third response

Summer brief
Third response:

For the third response, Cat and I decided to get together and discuss what we had already created. We both felt as though we had perhaps gotten a little carried away and managed to produce some work that we would find hard to develop.
We decided to go back to our very first responses and see if we could create a different path.

We both decided to paint scenery that is close to us, an area that we feel overwhelmed by but can get chance to see every day. I went up in to the yorkshire moors and took some photographs of a small stream that winds in and out of the hills, and Cat went to Fountains Abbey.

Once Cat had seen that I had focused on a landscape containing water, it reminded her of one the photographs she had taken and so her next response was of that shot. I continued to work on the same image, but tried to incorporate some of the collage and stitching that we had previously used in our other responses.
