Inventive Characters

My first brief for 2nd year is to work with the figure as it is one of the most 'recurrent elements I will have to represent as an 'illustrator'. I have been given a list of adjectives and a list of people/animals and have to find a way of portraying these particular characteristics.
I have chosen to create a wise barber, an angry dancer, and a triumphant fire-eater.

We have been given a selection of working methods as a catalyst for inventive drawing which consists of:

1. Utilise only straight lines
2. Utilise only circles and curves
3. Use only torn and cut paper
4. Use no outline
5. Use only printed marks.

I have incorporated a few of these techniques in to my work, often using a combination of some, whilst trying to maintain my own style.
Here are a few of my characters that I have found successful so far.

A WISE BARBER

AN ANGRY DANCER

A TRIUMPHANT FIRE-EATER
