Finally the book has arrived!

Andy Warhol Men. Forwarded by Alan Cumming

In the first year of studying my degree, I came across a book of Andy Warhol's drawings of men. It was hidden away amongst all the gigantic hardbacks in the college library but it managed to catch my eye, and how glad I am that it did!

The figure is well observed and He appears to have used what Hockney would call the 'eyeballing' technique (keeping eyes focused on the subject itself and letting your hand draw freely) . Only a singular line is used to describe the contours of the body with the smallest amount of detail added to the body hair and texture of the lips.

I managed to find this copy on Amazon for £2.81; An absolute steal! The book is overloaded with imagery, with very little writing at all which lets me adore the illustrations for what they are.
