Personal project

I have been continuing with research for my personal project over the summer, surrounding the idea of women being an object of the male (and female) gaze. The amount of information and theories available is rather overwhelming, there are so many ideas I am interested in, and they all seem to interlink with one another.

Some of the key ideas I am focusing on are:

-Women must continuously watch themselves.
-Adam and Eve- She is to blame for the sin. Deviant, and feels shame.
-How women disguise what they truly look like and why do they feel it's necessary?
-Women try to differentiate themselves from the male species through behaviour and looks, yet they still do so to please men and want to be treated the same.
-Women replace a penis with fetish objects of 'extension' such as cigarettes and high heels
