8X8 tweaks

For those of you who have seen my previous post on my progress with the 8X8 brief, here is an image of what it looks like now. After having many discussions with my tutors I went back to drawing the shape of the body in various positions in order to make my characters convincing, the ones I had created were to angular and their poses didn't seem natural. I am still unsure as to whether I will work in to this piece more, after looking at it for so long, I find that I often have to return to it another day.
...But here it is...

I have also completed the 'spot illustration' which will sit on the pages amongst text. I wanted to keep this image simple. It shows a piece of half eaten toast on a plate, a significant symbol from the story. If the young boy had not eaten his toast that particular morning, or had he finished it, he would have caught another bus, a bus that didn't blow up and take his life.
