2050

Recently I was set a brief to work in collaboration with graphic and surface designers. We have been given the title '2050' and we have to present what we believe the world will look by this period.

Ben, Phil and I have been putting together a small museum space to create 'The Best (or worst) Of 2050. We originally had an entire room to ourselves which was on the top floor of our college building. We sectioned off half of the room with display boards in order to create a space that we could realistically fill in the time we have, but today we had to relocate because the room had already been pre-booked. After a long time of feeling sorry for ourselves, we managed to rebuild a small 'den' in the corner of a studio and are now in the process of filling it with our creations.

We are trying to show how by the year 2050, we will have so many new ideas and knowledge to create new technologies, but will just not have the resources. Raw materials will be unobtainable and we will have to resort back to recycling everything.
